We want you to know what to expect when you trust us with your device. This summary explains the key parts of our policies in plain English. For full details, see our complete Service & Repair Policies.
💳 Payments
Replacement parts (like screens or batteries) must be paid for up front before we order them.
Repairs under $100 can be paid by cash/card (All card transactions carry a processing fee of 2.8%). For larger repairs, we may require check, money order, or wire transfer.
Payment is due when the repair is finished and before your device is picked up.
Please note: bank/processing fees (about 5%) are non-refundable if an order is canceled or refunded.
🔧 Repair Risks
We take every precaution, but electronics carry risks:
Devices may be beyond repair or may fail during service.
Liquid-damaged devices are especially unpredictable due to corrosion and rust.
Glued-on screens (like iPads) can sometimes crack during removal, even with careful work.
Apple Face ID / Touch ID may stop working depending on the device’s condition.
Some devices (such as older MacBooks and certain HP/Dell/Toshiba models) are known for sudden GPU failures.
By leaving your device with us, you acknowledge these risks.
📑 Estimates
We’ll always provide an estimate before doing any work.
Some issues can only be found once we start the repair, so estimates may change.
We will not proceed without your approval (via signed form, email, or written confirmation).
⏱️ Repair Timeframes
Standard repairs usually take 1–5 business days, depending on complexity and parts availability.
Turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees.
Expedited Option: For a $95 fee, we’ll prioritize your repair with a goal of 1–2 business days. If we can’t meet that timeframe (not counting shipping delays), the fee is credited to your final invoice.
🛡️ Warranty
All repairs come with a 90-day warranty covering the original issue and parts replaced.
Warranty does not cover:
New or unrelated issues.
Damage after the repair (drops, liquid, electrical surges, malware, etc.).
Devices tampered with or modified after repair.
Repairs using customer-supplied parts.
Customers pay shipping to us for warranty claims; we cover return shipping.
Warranty repairs do not extend or reset the 90-day coverage period.
💾 Data & Recovery
Always back up your data before service. We’re not responsible for lost data.
If a repair has a high chance of affecting data, we’ll let you know beforehand and can attempt a backup for an additional fee.
Data recovery services range from $150 to $1500. Original drives are not returned since they’re dismantled during recovery.
📦 Shipping & Storage
Pack your device securely if mailing it in. Insurance is strongly recommended; without it, shipping damage is your responsibility.
If you provide your own label, you must include insurance.
We do not ship to hotels.
Devices must be picked up within 60 days of completion. After that, we may charge $40/month for storage, or recycle/resell the device if unclaimed. We’ll make at least two contact attempts before considering a device abandoned.
